This year’s STooPS Artists are ready to bring their creations to the Bed-Stuy neighborhood! After working hard on their applications, which were reviewed by the STooPS team and some generous community members, our 2017 artists continued introductions through an informative webinar that offered a glimpse of what to expect from their STooPS experience. A few artists also enjoyed one-on-one calls with a STooPS team member to support them in developing their community-engaged artistic project.
The journey to STooPS continued with artists diving into our first ever Artist Development Workshop. This workshop, visioned and facilitated by STooPS Organizer Danielle Vasquez, further equipped them with tools and strategies for their creative development and enriching conversations around the role of artists in community.
One of the best experiences, by far, was enjoying the annual Meet & Greet on July 22nd with the organizing team, homeowners, and a few sponsors. And now we’re all in the final stages of rehearsing, creating, and preparing for an Art Crawl YOU don’t want to miss! Tell a friend, co-worker, or neighbor that STooPS has you covered with a fantastic weekend packed with art and community.
