Later on March 16, Kendra collaborated with Weeksville Heritage Center to host a focus group for the CreateNYC Cultural Plan. Our dialogue included an amazing, multi-generational mix of artists, educators, and cultural enthusiasts.
AND then we got to attend the Bed-Stuy Town Hall Meeting with Mayor DeBlasio where we learned that the Marcy Community Center is gaining additional funding, heard an inspiring speech from Rocky Robinson, founder of the Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance Core, and much more.

The annual STooPS event is made possible by public funds from the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and from the Decentralization Program of the New York State Council on the Arts, both administered in Kings County by Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC).
STooPS is supported in part by a grant from Burning Man.
