STooPS is a tangible way to bridge the distance between artists, new residents, businesses, and those already deeply invested in the neighborhood such as homeowners and Bed-Stuy organizations. As Bed-Stuy continuously shifts, STooPS helps ensure that all members of the neighborhood are aware of the resources that already exist within Bed-Stuy, in hopes that changes to the neighborhood are more equitably beneficial. STooPS allows people to build partnerships and support each other, thereby strengthening the overall community. This, in turn, makes the neighborhood continually safer and more attractive. 

As we continue to hone our skills and processes we hope to expand STooPS to other communities around New York, the country, and the world.

Your contributions will make STooPS have greater impact in the community. We need to rent space and equipment, distribute marketing materials, and pay artist and facilitator stipends, just to name a few expenses.  We hope to keep SightsSeer maps and schedules free so that finances does not stop anyone from experiencing good quality local art and having an opportunity to meet and share with their community members.
